INSTALLMENT AGREEMENTS

For those who have a tax liability they are unable to fully pay, and they are current in filing all of their tax returns, and installment agreement may be a viable option.  The installment agreement allows you to pay your debt in full in smaller more manageable amounts.  The amount of your monthly payments and the number of payments to be made is based on the amount you owe and your ability to pay that amount within the statute for collection time period.   However, keep in mind that while monthly payments are being made the IRS will continue to charge interest and penalties on the unpaid portion of the debt.
